Abel Barroso

Abel Barroso received formal training in the arts at the Instituto Superior de Arte (1995) and the Escuela National de Artes Pla´sticas (1990) in Havana. His work combines sculpture, printmaking, and installation often commenting on themes of materialism and wealth. Barroso exhibits internationally and has been awarded numerous prizes and residencies. His sculptures and prints are in collections in Canada, Cuba, Germany, and the United States. Barroso currently lives and works in Havana.
