"Japan Contemporary Art Today"
In conjuction with the Tenth Havana Biennial(Cuba) conceptualized as "Integration and Resistance in the Global Era" starting from March 27th 2009 and ending April 30th 2009, Galeria PROMO-ARTE of Japan and Galeria LOS OFICIOS from La Habana will be launching for its Second time a collateral exposition with the Biennale at Galeria LOS OFICIOS from the 28th of March 2009 for the duration of one month. Through this exposition, we will be introducing the different artistic expressions on this planet of the Japanese Artists mentioned below.
The main objective of this exposition is to develop even stronger friendly bilateral ties among the artists of the two nations. At the same time, we would like to introduce Japanese art to all the guests and participants who come from all corners of the world to the biennale.
Galeria LOS OFICIOS which is under the representation of the Cuban Artist Nelson Dominguez, of whom PROMO-ARTE represents in Japan, is located in the heart of the Biennale of the Habana Vieja.
Artists: HIRAKU SATO - Contemporary Calligraphist/ Installation of calligraphy in grand format.
TAKASHI YUKAWA - Sculptor/ Sculpture in Wood and Terracotta.
SHORA KATO - Painter and Video Artist/ Video Art and Art Paintings
NELSON DOMINGUEZ - Painter,Sculptor,Engraver and ceramist/ Art Painting
in grand format.
More over, the Cuban Artist Abel Barroso, whom Galeria PROMO-ARTE represents in Japan, has been invited by the Tenth Havana Biennial to be one of the most important manifestations of the Cuban Creators.

"Promo-Arte booth in Artbo- 2008"
PROMO-ARTE was invited to participate to the 4th version International Art Fair ARTBO-2008, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, held from 15th to 20th of October 2008 for modern, contemporary and emerging art with the participation of national and international galleries.
During the fair PROMO-ARTE presented two major artist: Ana Mercedes Hoyos, one of the most important colombian artist and the contemporary caligrapher Hiraku Sato, covering all booth 221 with their oil paintings and installations.

Durante su charla, Nelson Dominguez, se refirio al alto nivel educacional en los sistemas preuniversitarios y universitarios vinculados con la formacion artistica de su pais. El tambien profesor del Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) recalco los esfuerzos de la Revolucion por mantener tales niveles y la preocupacion por desarrollar la potencialidad artistica de los jovenes cubanos.
Abel “joven talentoso” como lo presentara el maestro Nelson Dominguez, mostro imagenes de obras de otros artistas de su generacion en tanto la galerista Kumiko Furosawa, comento sobre la generacion de artistas surgidos luego del triunfo revolucionario del 1 de enero de 1959 y su reconocimiento en el mercado japones.

Cuban contemporary artist "Nelson Dominguez" in Japan
Nelson Dominguez, who previously made a number of successful exhibitions in Tokyo, Yokohama, Ehime prefecture, Kochi prefecture, Tokushima prefecture, Okinawa prefecture, etc. with wide coverage of the Japanese media, will show his newest works in a solo exhibition at Miurart Village, Ehime prefecture, and Hoshigaoka Art Village, Kochi prefecture.

PROMO-ARTE at 11th Shanghai Art Fair 2007

PROMO-ARTE participated in a major contemporary art fair held in Shanghai in November, the 11th edition of Shanghai Art Fair, which featured, for the first time, the Latin American art Pavillion.

PROMO-ARTE Latin American Art gallery represented its leading artists in the event, in which works from artists like Cuban Nelson Dominguez, Eduardo Roca "Choco", Carlos Estevez, Colombian Ana Mercedes Hoyos, along with Brazilian James Kudo and Yugo Mabe marked the first edition of the pavillion in China's biggest art fair.
