The Cuban artist, Nelson Dominguez,held an exposition titled "Prayer for Peace" at the Miurart Museum from April 13th to May 18th 2008 with collaboration of Promo-Arte Gallery (whom represents Nelson Dominguez in Japan). The expositioninvolved a total of 45 recent oil art works on cloth and paper of large formats, including one measuring 5x2 meters representing PEACE like the Gernica from Picasso.
The founder of the Miura Museum, Tamotsu Miura, was himself a great artist that represented his art works with a very unique technologyusing ceramic.
Tamotsu Miura and Nelson Dominguez developed a deep friendship getting to know each other solelythrough their art works until they decided to work together for a exposition. However, theartist Tamotsu Miura passed away before performing the exposition and thusthey were not able to meet each other. Nonetheless, the spiritual friendship of thetwo artists continues strong.
